How to Check Your Sui Gas Bill Online Using Our Tool

Our tool is placed at the top of this page. It works on mobile phones, tablets and computers. You do not need to sign up, download an app or pay anything. Here is how to use it:

  1. Pick up any old SNGPL bill and find your 11 digit consumer number.
  2. Type the number into the box at the top of this page. Do not add spaces or dashes.
  3. Press the Check Bill button.
  4. Your current month gas bill will open. You will see the bill amount, due date, meter reading and any old dues.
  5. Use the Download or Print option to save a copy.

That is all. The bill you see is the same one that SNGPL prepares for your home, so you can use it to pay at a bank or through an app.

What You Need Before You Start

You only need one thing: your consumer number. Some people also call it the account number or Account ID. It is a fixed number that belongs to your gas connection. It stays the same every month, even when the bill amount changes.

Where to Find Your SNGPL Consumer Number

Look at the top part of any old gas bill, near your name and address. You will see a number with 11 digits printed as Consumer No or Account ID. This is the number you need for SNGPL bill checking.

If you have no old bill at all, you still have options. You can ask your landlord, check an old payment message on your banking app, or call the SNGPL helpline at 1199 with your CNIC and address ready.

Consumer Number vs Bill Reference Number

Many people mix these two numbers up. That is the most common reason the bill does not open. This table makes the difference clear.

Point

Consumer Number

Bill Reference Number

What it identifies

Your gas connection (your home)

One specific bill

Does it change?

No, it stays the same

It can change with each bill

Number of digits

11 digits

Longer, printed separately

Best used for

Checking your bill online

Paying through some banks and apps

So, when you want to see your bill, use the consumer number. When a bank app asks for a reference number to pay, look for the SNGPL bill reference number printed on the bill you just opened.

How to Download and Print a Duplicate Gas Bill

A duplicate copy of gas bill is simply a second copy of the same bill. It shows the same amount, the same due date and the same details as the paper one. People need it when the original is lost, late, torn, or when a landlord or office asks for proof of address.

On a Mobile Phone

Open your Sui Gas bill with our tool. Tap the download button and the bill will save as a PDF in your phone. You can then share it on WhatsApp, send it by email, or show it at the bank counter right from your screen.

On a Computer or Laptop

Open the bill, then press Ctrl and P together on your keyboard. Choose your printer to get a paper copy, or choose Save as PDF to keep a digital file. A4 size paper works best. This is the easiest way to get a clean Sui Gas bill print at home.

Is a Duplicate Bill Valid for Payment?

Yes. Banks, post offices and mobile wallets accept a printed or digital duplicate bill. What matters is the reference number and amount on it, not whether the paper came by post. Many offices also accept it as a utility bill for address proof, but it is a good idea to ask them first.

Understanding Your SNGPL Bill: What Each Part Means

A gas bill can look confusing with so many boxes and numbers. Once you know what each part means, it becomes easy to read. Here are the main sections you will see after you check your Sui Gas bill online lahore.

Section on the Bill

What It Tells You

The fixed 11 digit number of your gas connection

Billing Month

The month this bill belongs to

Issue Date

The day the bill was made

Due Date

The last day to pay without extra charges

Previous and Present Reading

Meter numbers at the start and end of the month

Gas Units Used

How much gas your home burned, shown in cubic metres or hm3

Gas Charges

Cost of the gas you used, based on your slab

Fixed Charges

A set monthly amount that depends on your category

Taxes

Government sales tax and other duties

Arrears

Old unpaid amount carried from earlier bills

Payable Within Due Date

The total you should pay on time

Payable After Due Date

The higher total with late payment surcharge added

Current Month Gas Bill Amount

The gas bill amount is not just units multiplied by rate. It is a mix of gas charges, the fixed monthly charge, taxes, and any arrears from before. If your amount looks too high, first look at the Arrears line. Many times the reason is an old payment that did not reach the system.

Gas Bill Due Date and Late Payment

The SNGPL bill due date is printed clearly on the bill, usually close to the payable amount. If you pay after this date, a late payment surcharge is added and you will see the higher amount under Payable After Due Date. Unpaid bills for a long time can lead to disconnection, and getting the gas reconnected takes time and money.

A simple habit helps a lot here. Check your Sui Gas bill online a few days before the due date every month. That way, even if the paper bill never reaches you, you will never miss a payment.

How Much Are Monthly Gas Charges in 2026?

Gas prices in Pakistan are set by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and approved by the federal government. Prices are fixed for a full financial year, from July to June.

Domestic users are put in one of two groups. Protected consumers are homes that use less gas, mostly judged by their average use in the winter months. They pay lower rates. Non protected consumers use more gas and pay higher rates as their use goes up.

In July 2025, OGRA notified a 50 percent rise in fixed monthly charges for homes, while the actual per unit gas rates for domestic users were kept the same. Then in July 2026, the government decided to keep the same gas tariffs for the 2026 to 2027 year, even though OGRA had lowered the prescribed price for the gas companies. This means the charges below are still in force.

Domestic Category

Fixed Charge Before July 2025

Fixed Charge Now (2026)

Protected

Rs 400 per month

Rs 600 per month

Non protected (up to 1.5 hm3)

Rs 1,000 per month

Rs 1,500 per month

Non protected (above 1.5 hm3)

Rs 2,000 per month

Rs 3,000 per month

Gas rates for domestic users range from about Rs 200 to Rs 350 per MMBTU for protected homes, and from Rs 500 up to Rs 4,200 per MMBTU for non protected homes, depending on the slab. Taxes are added on top of this.

Why Is My Sui Gas Bill Higher Than Usual?

This is one of the most common questions every winter. Here are the usual reasons, explained in simple words.

Winter heaters and geysers. A gas heater or geyser can use far more gas than a stove. In cold months, gas use can jump two or three times.

Moving to a higher slab. Gas is charged in steps. Once you cross a limit, the rate for the extra units is higher, and your fixed charge may rise too.

Estimated reading. Sometimes a meter reader cannot reach your meter. The bill is then made on a guess. Compare the reading on your bill with the number on your meter.

Old dues. An earlier unpaid amount, or a payment that was not recorded, shows up as arrears and makes the total look bigger.

Gas leakage. A small leak inside the house wastes gas every hour. If you smell gas, turn off the main valve, open windows and call 1199 right away.

Get Your Bill by SMS or Email Every Month

SNGPL offers a free service that sends your bill details straight to your phone or email. To sign up, open the official SMS and email bill registration page on the SNGPL website. You will need your consumer number, CNIC number, mobile number and email address.

After you register, you get an alert when the new bill is ready. Pair this with our tool, and you will always know your amount and due date without waiting for the postman.

SNGPL Customer Services and Complaints

If something on your bill is wrong, you have a clear path to get it fixed. SNGPL customer services work through a few main channels:

  • Helpline 1199: for billing questions, complaints and gas emergencies.
  • Online complaint form: on the SNGPL website, where you can choose a type such as wrong billing, high billing or payment not showing, and then track it later.
  • Customer Facilitation Centres: offices in major cities where you can talk to staff face to face.

Before you contact them, keep these things ready: your latest bill, the last two bills, a clear photo of your gas meter, and any payment receipts. This saves time and makes your case strong.

One important point. Even if you think the bill is wrong, it is wiser to pay it by the due date and file your complaint at the same time. If the complaint is accepted, the extra amount is normally adjusted as a credit in a later bill.

Real Example: When a Complaint Worked

If SNGPL does not solve your problem, you can take it to the Federal Ombudsman, which handles complaints against government bodies for free. In one case reported by the state news agency APP, a resident of Peshawar complained about unfair arrears added to his gas bill. After the Ombudsman office looked into it, SNGPL gave him a relief of Rs 80,000 on those arrears.

This shows that the system does work when you keep your papers in order and follow the right steps.

Stay Safe: Protect Your Gas Account From Scams

With more people checking bills online, scams have also grown. Fake text messages sometimes say your gas will be cut today and ask you to click a link and pay. Do not fall for this.

SNGPL does not ask you to pay through random links in SMS messages. Never share your CNIC, bank PIN or OTP code with anyone who calls claiming to be from the gas company. Complaint filing is free, so anyone asking for a fee to speed it up is not genuine. When in doubt, check your Sui Gas bill yourself with your consumer number or call 1199.
